Definitely a place to check out in the morning if you are in the duval street area. Don't go to the nearby starbucks, go check out this place instead. It is nestled in a courtyard off the street and has outdoor seating which is great in the morning. They have a nice coffee and food selection. We both had cordaditas (cuban coffee with sugar cane and a little leche). They were strong and a bit sweet; overall very good. We also split a breakfast sandwich on cuban bread. It was very good and big. We actually split one and were perfectly happy. We went here on our last morning, but should have gone earlier in the trip.

Five stars for price and unexpected high quality of both food and drink for the seemingly lower prices. We visited here nearly everyday on our vacation in Key West at the urging of a friend. So glad we did. This downtown location is the only one that provides adequate seating, the waterfront provides a couple of benched but we saw people getting attacked by the chickens there (one jumped up and grabbed a bite of a guys sandwich) The Cuban Carmel was good--we had one hot and one cold but my favorite so far is the Cuban Vanilla with sugar. We have also grown fond of the Key Wester with bacon. Fair warning that although drinks come out quickly, they are a bit slower with the food orders. I love this place and highly recommend it on your visit.

We wish we found this place sooner! We wanted a quick meal on our last night in key west and after a quick scan through yelp decided on The Cuban Coffee Queen. We saw that they had pork, rice and beans on the menu and we were sold. When we arrived we found out it was happy hour. Meaning that they have a few food items discounted, including the pork, rice and beans. Awesome. So we ordered that and a chicken salad sandwich on Cuban bread. I honestly wasn't sure what to expect. It's a small outdoor half coffee shop half quick service food spot. We were pleasantly surprised by everything we got. The pork was delicious, rice and beans were everything we had hoped for and my chicken salad was also yummy. The pork plate was huge and was on special for $5. .. amazing. My chicken salad had mango chunks in it and let's face it, cuban bread makes a sandwich 100 times better. After our dinner we decided to get a iced cafe con leche to go. HOLY CRAP... best coffee I have ever had. They make their iced cubes out of coffee so that your coffee never gets watered down! I loved it so much we got up extra early to make it here one more time before we left key west. Best coffee I have ever had ...ever! Go here!

Steven was amazing!!! I loved Cuban queen coffee af the wharf location and while my husband and I were enjoying the fun 2 cents happy hour we stumbled upon this location. Steven was amazing and gave fabulous recommendations. I will definitely be back to take advantage of the happy hour! I am addicted to the iced cafe con leche.

Best iced coffee I've ever had. Delicious, fresh food. Service Downtown friendlier than at the Waterfront location - better shaded seating at this location too. Be sure to try a Cuban sandwich and a shot of espresso.

We had breakfast here 4 out of the 6 days my wife and I were here and coffee 5 days. This place is great!

Always a favorite stop! Glad they have a new location and wouldn't be surprised if they got a third! New place is great, plenty of places to sit and dog friendly. Made three stops during our 5 day stay! Love the Key Wester and sometimes like to add tomato to that. Love how they always add plantains and a dumb dumb to the meal. Everyone is friendly and fun! Can't say enough about this place! Love both locations.
(5)Matt D.
Always a must when in KW. Great Cafe and sandwiches. Fast delivery service and great new location down town. Enjoy!
(5)Steph B.
Seriously love this coffee. I got the regular cuban coffee without sugar as well as their iced cuban coffee. The iced coffee had coffee iced cubes which was amazing! My only complaint was the people serving could afford to be somewhat friendly. The coffee is worth it!

Stopped in for a Cortadito and some cheese toast, phenomenal!! Great people working there and unbelievably good breakfast all day, can it get any better!!!
(5)Suzie H.
Food was great, no complaints there. The reason for the 3 stars is due to the rude customer service that we encountered there. The female working the cash register was condescending and rude for absolutely no reason. Even though it was close to our condo, we chose not to go back. *on a side note, we went to their sister store and I'm pretty sure the same female waited on us but this time she was super friendly. I should also mention that there were several other employees working so I don't know if that was a motivating factor*

Excellent coffees and the sandwiches were simply awesome! Did I mention the prices were unbelievably reasonable?? One of our best meals at Key West!
(5)Jessie C.
Inexpensive treat. Make sure you stop by, or get them to deliver it to you. Feel like a Cuban today with all the energy and enthusiasm from the Iced Cafe con Leche
(5)Steve W.
Hit this spot regularly on our recent honeymoon to Key West. Highly recommend Cafe Con Leche WITH sugar (cmon, you're on vacation!) The Key Wester or Cuban Mix are my sandwiches of choice but it's all about that Cuban bread. I dreamed of it on the flight home.

Holy hell this place is great - stumbled onto their location off Duval Street in a stupor after a brutal day of travel down to Key West from Boston. Hungry, thirsty, and dying for a strong cup of coffee - we ordered a couple of sandwiches, some sides, and cafe con leche. Frankly weren't expecting much because the prices seemed almost ridiculously low and the place doesn't exactly give off a fine-dining vibe (picnic tables and plastic ware kind of deal... Not that there's anything wrong with that). Sandwiches were phenomenal - fresh, flavorful, porky, salty goodness. And the coffees were frigging out of this world. All for ~$25! Service was awesome too - nice, polite, and prompt. Check it out when you're in Key West!

Shredded pork and con leches...have been here for breakfast all week except for a few excursions to glazed donuts...started the day off right all week!
(5)Alease L.
I'm at a loss as to how to rate this place! The food and iced coffee was amazing.... the lady working the register is one of the rudest people I have encountered in a restaurant. She was just plain rude! I usually don't write negative reviews but saw the manager actually reads and responds which is something I strive for in my restaurants.

Best Mojo Pork ever and awesome ice coffee, a great choice for breakfast brunch or anytime really at the right price. Great staff and their delivery guys were hard at it delivering great Cuban coffee and sandwiches to those who couldn't drag themselves in. A nice shady spot to sit just of the main streets. Highly recommend this place for value, flavor and no pretentious bs.
(5)Angela S.
CCQ took the place of my favorite sandwich shop, Lobos, but the quality is the same. Absolutely delicious! I had an iced cafe con leche and Cuban Queen sandwich. Huge sandwich for cheap compared to the rest of Key West. I will be back!
(5)Renee H.
Best coffee on the island. Friendly staff. Breakfast sandwich was good - could have used a little more bacon. When we asked what the pork roll was; we were told it's quite popular "up north". It was similar to bologna- I don't recommend it. The smoothie options were fantastic although we didn't try one.
(3)Bonnie A.
Loved this place! A good coffee shop, that makes a great Cafe Con Leche (like a latte)! Very inexpensive and also great breakfast sandwiches! We went here every day we were in Key West.
(5)Greg F.
Enjoyed the Key Wester breakfast sandwich. The coffee was also very good. Friendly staff. Good prices. I will definitely go back and recommend. The only complaint was that it was hot and the hot coffee made me hotter. Not their fault.
(5)Kat S.
Nice spot tucked away from Duval with painted benches where you can sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. Great coffee and egg & cheese Cubans. Will be back.
(5)Jojo F.
At last! Cuban Coffee Queen has opened a second location just a hop and skip off of Duval Street. This location has ample seating and friendly dogs are welcome. The location used to house Lobo's, which was pretty good...sad to seem them go. The quality is consistent with the original location. Be aware that if you order delivery, your order will be coming from this location, as they now have a huge kitchen to help offset the demand of their quality food. Great customer service and worth visiting.
(5)Mary B.
Enjoy the very casual environment and attitude and luscious café con leche and breakfast sandwiches!!
(4)Kathy G.
Oh my gosh the absolute best Cuban coffee con leche ever. Really cute area to sit and enjoy. Got it ice with sugar and it was the perfect sweetness the guy that made it was so fast and cute
(5)Christine I.
Came here for #ragnarFLK and LOVED. Yummy Cuban sandwiches, excellent coffee and nice beer list. Lea put up with our touristy obnoxiousness with style. She was awesome
(5)Nelson S.
The coffee is top notch, strong and hot. Service was great they were courteous and gave the kiddies lollipops. I had the Cuban mix, it was a big delicious sandwich, the pork on it was really good, I will come back again and again. We visited the Cuban coffee queen almost every day during our run in key west, I am sad to leave.
(5)Mike G.
Great coffee, iced Cuban coffee with coffee ice cubes! Breakfast sandwiches are so good and very reasonable.
(5)Hilary B.
We stay nearby when in key west. Here for extended periods of time. We have given the benefit of the doubt three times trying this location. Each time we had to wait an unreasonable amount of time to get s cup of Cuban coffee. Once we left before it was even made after paying up front. The price is fair at 2 bucks but frankly I'd rather pay more and not wait around for them. 5 brothers a few blocks the other way a better cup of Cuban coffee and much prompter service. 3 times your out. Sorry.
(1)Jeremy K.
Not as good as the waterfront location. Grilled cheese was nasty. Long wait when there was no line.
(2)Jon T.
Really cool place, great setting. Coffee was great, the breakfast sandwich I had was awesome! We loved it!
(4)Lori S.
Great coffee, great service. Traipsed all over looking for 'not Starbucks' and fell over this place by accident one afternoon. Definitely the best we sampled.
(5)Samantha M.
I am so pleased with both locations of Cuban coffee queen. Great food. Love ordering breakfast. The key wester is amazing. Can't go wrong with the coffee! Every time I call for delivery I am greeted on the phone with happiness. Everyone is in a good mood. Spreading that good vibe! Great job guys. Keep it up! Thank you
(5)Mario S.
Awesome little spot, very courteous staff and delicious food. Only thing is the menu I felt was slightly misleading regarding the components of the description coming in a sandwich vs. Traditional plate style. But we didn't care since the sandwich was also great.
(4)George A.
Great food, loved Curt who took our orders. A must go to eat place. We had the Cuban mix sandwich, very reasonable in price. Even bought a tee shirt!
(5)Abhi V.
Stopped here for some Cuban coffee. I'm a coffee lover from a different life time but wanted my wife to try some Cuban coffee. She had the iced coffee to compliment the warm day and it was incredibly good (I did have a few sips!). They also had a great selection of food and some great choices for vegetarians too - a rarity in the Keys.
(5)Kerstin W.
Excellent coffee and loved the egg & cheese sandwich on Cuban bread. I tried both locations and had equally great results at both. It's a perfect spot for a coffee pick-me-up or for a quick breakfast. Wish I had one close to me, I'd have that egg sandwich every week.
(5)Matt H.
Stopped in and had good cafe con leche, quiche and a breakfast sandwich. All were very good--not 'wow', but very satisfied. Nice seating area too.
(4)Russ M.
Our favorite place in Key West! And now two locations :) Awesome Cuban coffee, food and people. This new location has outside seating, too.
(5)K.C. W.
We ordered the Cuban mix. The best sandwich we had all week. Food took a little while to come out but was well worth the wait.
